Error 1935. An error occured during installation of assembly component

MS Office 2010 Installation Issues, Win x64, Vista or Windows Vista issues with Automatic Update

This was definitely one of those painful Windows installations I had done in recent years. It took around 1 month to figure out what was wrong with the laptop/Windows which stopped me from installing the software. This time it was a very tricky one. The error which it shows was taking me to an entirely different direction. After I went through lot of forums and installed every possible fixes available online, I found out the issue had noting to do with the fixes or the .Net framework (I reinstalled all .Net Framework versions in the order specified in the windows help center.

1. Windows Update (wuauserv) needs to be "started"
2. Windows Modules Installer(TrustedInstaller) needs to be "started" [This was in Stopped state in my system. I just had to Start this service to make the installation proceed correctly]

Note: If you have problems with the above services, windows Automatic Updates would be failing every time you try it. If you are seeing that the Automatic Updates are up to date, then you are facing a different problem.

If you are sure that the above processes are running correctly, then next step would be to follow the steps mentioned in microsoft support site
